Course Information 



The eYouth project provides participants with the opportunity to complete and achieve Certificate II in Information, Digital Media and Technology qualification free of charge.  The course is aimed at young people between 16 to 25 years of age and will be delivered both in classrooms and online.


The project aims to build a community of creative young people and emerging young artists in the city of Wyndham. These young people will be supported to co-design a project that will aim to advocacy and be a voice for young people in Wyndham.


In collaboration with Wyndham City and Victoria University Polytechnic at Werribee, the eYouth Project is funded by an Empower Grant from the Victorian State Government.


Course Dates 

Class One:        July - December 2018 

Class Two:         February - June 2019  

Class Three:      April - September 2019 

Class Four:       July -December 2019  (Now Recruiting)


What's Involved?

  • Become a Victoria University Polytechnic Student

  • The course will run for three days a week

  • Classes will run from 11 am to 5pm, Tuesday to Thursday with an additional day of online study

  • 18 weeks of study over one semester 

  • Based at the VU Polytechnic Werribee Campus‚Äč


About You

The eYouth project is looking to recruit committed, passionate and creative young individuals with an interest in creative digital media to develop their IT technical skills and knowledge. The young people we are now recruiting for will work with the eYouth Crew and Victoria University Polytechnic to create Digital Art that tells their stories and advocate for the youth of Wyndham.


Participating in this project will also provide countless opportunities to widen your professional and social networks.

If you want to:

This course meets the Centrelink requirements and each student enrolled will have access to a range of Victoria University Polytechnic services.


How to Take Part 

If you are a young person aged 16 to 25 years and engage in Wyndham in at least one of the following ways:

  • Recreate 

  • Work

  • Study

  • Live


With an interest in any of the following digital media platforms:

  • Film and Sound Editing

  • Graphic Design

  • Photography

  • Podcasting

  • Digital Image Editing

  • Music

  • Australian Citizen

  • Australian Permanent Resident

  • Permanent Humanitarian Visa

  • New Zealand Citizen


Where can the Cert II take you?

After completing the Certificate II in Information, Digital Media and Technology, you may then continue to the Certificate III in Information, Digital Media and Technology or other Cert III or Cert IV level courses with a focus on graphic design, screen and media.
